The National Indigenous Research and Knowledges Network (NIRAKN) was established in 2012 under the Special Research Initiative (SRI) for an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Researchers’ Network (ATSIRN).

NIRAKN is now in a legacy phase that sees our programs and research coming to a close during 2021, and we look forward to sharing with you some of the results of the program here on the website as these projects are completed.

We extend our sincere thanks to node leaders and partner organisation representatives as well as members of the Advisory committee for contributing to NIRAKN’s outstanding success.

In the legacy phase, we will continue to send newsletters to our Friends of NIRAKN to communicate about scholarships, opportunities to publish, recommend journal editions, events, domestic and international conferences, seminars, bursaries and symposiums. You can subscribe and submit news items to the newsletter by emailing
