The Centre of Research Excellence to promote Safer Families (Safer Families Centre) leads research into family violence. The virtual centre, which is funded by the NHMRC and involves a number of collaborators within Australia and overseas, is based at the University of Melbourne. The Safer Families Centre supports the research workforce and builds capacity for sustainable change. A core focus within the research and translation agenda is for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities.
The centre has a scholarship opportunity for an Indigenous Australian student who has a research background in qualitative social and/or health research, quantitative social sciences or biostatistics. For more information and to apply, or submit an Expression of Interest, click here.
