Indigenous education champion Richard Potok, founder and CEO of the Aurora Project, has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Canberra in recognition of his distinguished service to Indigenous education initiatives. For the past decade, Dr Potok has worked tirelessly to help transform the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians through education. He has been instrumental in growing the number of Indigenous Australian leaders, mentors and academic role models through the Aurora Project, Aurora Education Foundation and The Aspiration Initiative.
