Ngarrindjeri man and NIRAKN Chief Investigator Dr Christopher Wilson has recently completed his Archaeology PhD, the first Indigenous Australian to do so in that field. His project developed new archaeological evidence of Ngarrindjeri occupation in the Lower Murray region dating back 8,500 years, involving a 30-kilometre-long survey of the River Murray’s banks between Mypolonga and Monteith. Please join us in congratulating Chris, who graduated from Flinders University last week on the 20th September! We encourage you all to read the full spotlight article on his project.
