The National Indigenous Research and Knowledges Network (NIRAKN) invites submissions for the NIRAKN Undergraduate Essay Prize. Up to four prizes will be awarded to recognise the academic skill, talent and research of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander university undergraduates. Winners will also be flown to the NIRAKN November Workshops, Gold Coast, to receive their certificate.

- Fully referenced, double-spaced
- Comprehensively covers issues related to Indigenous studies
- Introduces critical analysis, original ideas or original research
- All topics covered, but themes and issues relevant to NIRAKN will be highly regarded
Email your essay as a Word or .pdf file to firstname.lastname@example.org, with “NIRAKN Undergraduate Essay Prize” in the subject line. Covering emails MUST provide student’s name and contact information, details of current undergraduate enrolment (degree and institution), details of the course or subject for which the essay was written and the title of the essay. Applicants must be Indigenous Australians currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree at an Australian university.
